Visual Design — I've always had a passion for art and design. Whether I'm sketching the lines of a hand-crafted table, arranging the tiles of a slate mosaic, or creating a digital user-interface, I delight in the process of fusing beauty with functionality.

In digital design, I look first to the purpose of the piece and its intended audience. My goal is to facilitate communication between the two. My challenge is to ensure that every element enhances understanding.

Information Technology — I'm curious about information. The myriad ways that people access, manipulate, evaluate, and share information are fascinating to me. For instance, when data is presented without order and meaning, users become exasperated and give up. To be truly "informative" data must be digested, organized, and presented in a meaningful way. That's exactly what information technology does.

IT is the use of electronic devices to acquire, transform, store, and present information. It's a living, fluid medium. Every week brings a new advancement. While the ever-changing landscape can sometimes feel overwhelming, more often than not, it compels me to purchase yet another hefty computer book and settle in with a smile!

Tenacity — I thrive on meeting a challenge. Give me a problem and I'll attack it from every angle – aesthetic, technical, economic, and strategic – before presenting you with a solution. In fact, on a few select cases, I even discounted the price of a particularly complex or unusual project just because I wanted the chance to dig into it!
